Madrid Watch

Real Madrid were sensationally knocked out of the Copa Del Rey in the semi final stages last night by (I hate the name) Real Zaragoza.

With Arsenal's next game away to Real Madrid, Gooners would usually take hreat from this news and look to capitalise on the situation, but the only reason the result was sensational was because Real were trying to overhaul a 6-1 deficit........and were only a whisker away from making it.

With 5 goals to make up, Real set about the task straight from the kick off and were one up within the first minute after Cicinho spanked one home from 25 yards. Three minutes later and Madrid were at it again, this time Robinho's low shot meggin the keeper. On ten minutes, Real looked like the were going to achieve the impossible, when a wonderful deep searching cross found Ronaldo, who cushioned the ball into the onion bag with his left foot.

Roberto Carlos smashed one home in the second half to make it 4-0, but Los Galactico's just couldn't find the 5th and lost 6-5 on aggregate.

If We find Madrid in that vein of form next week.........we are in trouble.

Lets just hope they lose confidence after going out... they played as good as any team have in europe this season!
