Fabregas: Under Construction

Cesc Fabregas says that Arsenal are a team 'under construction' but believes the young team can overcome the lack of experience with team spirit.

Speaking with the Catalan daily sports paper, Cesc says Arsene's policy this season of playing mainly youngsters will benefit us in the long run.

'Arsenal are a team under construction, Vieira, who was our captain and leader, has left and this is also our last season at Highbury.

'What's more, Arsene Wenger has opted for a team made up mainly of young players and that has benefited us a lot as we go out in each game determined to do well.

'Ten days ago we played Birmingham and virtually none of our side were older than 22. We still won the game 0-2 - you can overcome a lack of experience with great team spirit.'

Fabregas has quickly become a favorite amongst us Gooners, always expressing wise words for such a young player.

Someone taking the responsibility! I can see him being capitan in a few years! Just hope Henry agrees and stays!

Arsene has a very good eye for young talent and his track record proved that. I suppose the only downside in throwing too many young kids into the deep end will be their ability to absorb the pressure to play consistently week in week out.
