'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Furious Fabregas

The cheap hacks from the red tops have always seemed to have a strange dislike for the Arsenal, and it has been known from time to time for them to twist and distort things to make a more sensational story.

This is the kind of thing that Cesc Fabregas is speaking out against today. The Spaniard has issued a statement with regards to comments some sections of the media have claimed he said.

The statement is as follows.

'Further to a story in a newspaper today, I would like to stress that I have never said that it would be 'spectacular' or 'incredible' if Thierry Henry would join Barcelona.

'Thierry is our leader and we are so proud of having him as our Captain at Arsenal.

'We all want him to stay because of his qualities both as a world-class player and a person, and I hope to be playing with him at Arsenal for many years to come.'

This lad is wise beyond his years, he must have some very good people around because he has his feet firmly planted on the ground.
