Wenger Won't Risk Cole

Arsene Wenger decided that playing Ashley Cole against Real Madrid was too risky, and could have, in terms of injury, put Cole right back to the begining.

Ashley Cole is a vital member of the squad, but risking bringing back too soon was something that only played on Arsene's mind momentarily.

“I could have taken a gamble on Ashley Cole but he only had one training session with the team,” said Wenger.

“Last time I rushed him back and he had a set-back, he wasn't ready. We will organise a game for him against Barnet tomorrow.”

Hopefully, we'll have Cole back in action sooner rather than later as we enter the business end of the season.
