We Can't Give Away Free Kicks

Real Madrid have two of the world's most deadly marksmen from a dead ball situation in Roberto Carlos and David Beckham, and with the likelyhood of much of the play being in Arsenal's half, Wenger understands the need to keep the fouls to a minimum.

“You have to stop them having set-pieces around the box,” said the manager. “We will get away with two or three but not with 10.

“If they have 10 we will concede one so it is important you spend as much time as you can in their half of the pitch.

“If you spend time in your own half there's no doubt they will have free-kicks.”

All credit to the team, they did what was told and limited their long range shooting to a mimimum. What a night !
