No Debut For Walcott

Theo Walcott will have to wait a little bit longer before he gets in on the act and makes his first appearance for the Gunners.

The Under 19's international was bought from Southampton for a world record fee in football for a 16 year old, and despite netting for the Arsenal reserves and the under 19's on both debut's, he is yet to feature in the big time.

Wenger thinks he is coming on nicely, but this weekend's game is too big to risk.

“I feel he has a lot to learn and has to adapt to the pace of the game,” said the manager.

“We will certainly see him before the end of the season because he's moving quickly forward but this week we have so much a big game that we need all our experience I feel.”

Do you really think he'll play before the end of the season. I can only see Wenger using him if Arsenal can't move up or down - perhaps the last game of the season etc.

I can't see him getting at start, but if we're nicely ahead, or need to nick a goal in a game, he definately could make an appearance.

I think there's too much expectation on the young lad. People will be expecting him to score a hat-trick on his debut - it won't happen. Let's allow him to develop in his own time, he's still only 16!
