'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eboue Is Living The Dream

When Emmanuel Eboue took to the pitch at the Bernabeau two weeks ago, he realised his 'ultimate dream'.

Eboue has been a revelation at right back since the injury of usual suspect 'Ralph' Lauren.

The Ivory Coast international said, “It was my dream to play against Real Madrid,” Eboue told Arsenal.com. “My ultimate dream was to play against some of the greatest players in the world. And I had that chance. Frankly, when I came on the pitch, I was so happy just to be alongside Ronaldo and Beckham. These were people that I had never seen in my whole life. I could see Robinho, Roberto Carlos - it was unbelievable.

“But I was not stressed, I was quite confident and I felt good. Thanks to God, everything went well. I hear people saying that I had a good game so I am happy.”

Eboue had Robinho and Zidane in his pocket all night, and millions of Gooners around the world are hoping for the same outcome tomorrow, as is Eboue.

“I think that we just need to play our game, we mustn't let them attack too much and we defend all the time. But we must play like we are used to play.

'The mistake would be to think that we are already qualified. But if we work well and if we are confident and play with the ball, I think we will go through.”
