Real Madrid Reacted With Class

Every person who watched the titanic struggle on the pitch at Highbury on Wednesday night, saw a game of football played the way it was meant.

Both teams performed with good spirit, with the sole intent of actually playing football.

With this in mind Arsene Wenger believes Real took the defeat off the pitch with the same class they had shown on it.

“The two sides played with a great spirit and I must take my hat off to Real Madrid,” said Wenger.

“After the game, they behaved with class as a club, and you cannot say that about everybody at that level. Even we at Arsenal can learn from that.

“They were graceful, they congratulated us, even the chairman came down and wished us good luck. They could have been bitter but they have shown class and it's good to see that the biggest club in the world can show that kind of class against a team with young players. We can learn from that.”

It was great to see Madrid gracious in defeat. I hope Mourinho was watching, he could learn a thing or two.
