Wenger Pleased With Hleb Improvement

Alex Hleb has been in scintillating form since the 1-0 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeau, something which Arsene Wenger has being paying attention to.

When Hleb joined Arsenal he fit seemlessly into the side, but following his spell out through injury he had struggled to regain that form that saw him named player of the month.

However, since his inspiring performance in Madrid, Hleb has gone from strength to strength, and has seen him take a starting place in the first team.

Wenger is extremly happy for him and the team.

'We had many players that in the first six months found it hard to adapt,' the Arsenal boss said.

'After he got injured and he had a few games at home when he was not at his best, I think he was a bit worried. But the crowd helped him and the Real Madrid game helped him.'

Wenger added: 'He is playing very well, is sharp and looks like he will always create something.'

I had my doubts about him for most of the season, but since the game at the Bernabeu he's been excellent and i don't think anyone can dispute that

He's been good, sans doubt, but was he worth all of the Euros that Wenger splashed out for him?
Westl
This is his first season so it will take a bit of time to adapt apart from his injury. But the same can be asked about Drogba the snipper victim. Is he worth all the euros ? 24m of that to be precise.

24million POUNDS probably about 3omillion euros!! well they think they got value formoney hen itcomes to acting!! I do agree HK its his first season here and he's hada couple of injuries and in the past AW reckons that foreign players need 6months to get used to the english game. its now 7months since the start of the season...:p

im a pompey fan, and i think hleb has been in your top two players in the last month

Hleb has taken a long time to adjust, he started brightly and looked good, but his inconsistency hasn't helped his reputation. He has a lot to work on, and for 10 million, to be honest you would expect a bit more from him.

I must admit I'd like him to score more goals, infact, I'd be happy if he even shot. That said he looks great on the ball and WILL be a great asset to the squad.

saying hleb i worth the 10 million you lot payed is like saying Djemba djemba was worth the 4 mill united paid or the 6 mill for kleberson
