'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Game Off!!

Today's away fixture at Portsmouth has been postponed.

The pitch at Fratton Park is waterlogged and the referee deemed it 'unplayable'.

This comes as a major disapointment to the Gunners who hoped to take 4th place this afternoon.

The only brightside is the extra rest ahead of the Juventus tie.

Should things like this really be happening in top flight football in this day and age?

Unlucky lads, our game was called off at Torquay aswell and it was bucketing it down there. We really can't let these sort of things be happening in March! Poor from Torquay and Portsmouth!

we really didn't need this especially at this time of the year and fixture congestion. A premiership club in this day and age can surely not have games posponed because of a waterlogged pitch? however one good thing to come out of this, is that e won'tpick up any injuries and our players get an extra 3 days break!!!!!

the pitch was rock hard after no rain for weeks, so all the water settled on top, pompey will feel the loss more than the arse, in damp conditions it would have suited us a lot more than you

I wanted to get 4th but at least now preperation for the juventus game will be better.

Convenient that it was postponed before Arsenal play Juve on Tuesday

Convenient for this one match.......not the rest of the season.

We wanted it to go ahead, we were on a roll, and you were keeping some eyes elsewhere...feel sorry though for the supporters of both clubs who travelled there with high expectations and certainly to watch a football match.

I was speaking to a geezer who flew down to Portsmouth from Yorkshire. Poor sod.
