Dein Wanted Match Go-Ahead

Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein, wanted Saturday's match at Fratton Park to go ahead, and is now concerned about the fixture congestion.

The game was unbelievably called off due to a waterlogged pitch, something that shouldn't be happening in this day and age, and now, Arsenal will struggle to find a vacant date for the game.

David Dein has expressed hiss worrys and the fact the Arsenal team wanted the game to go-ahead.

'It gives us a fixture problem because we are already going to play probably three games in the last six, seven days of the season and it's difficult to know where we can reposition this particular fixture,' Dein told Sky Sports News.

'We would have liked to have played the game today, if the pitch was in a good shape we would have played it.'

Yeah, we also get to play 2x over Easter weekend now, which is anything but ideal.

Well if we progress to the semi finals of the Champions league Easter Monday's game wil also have to be moved. But I guess fixtures pileup's are a symptom of sucess.
Rocky7
Exactly, so we can't complain too much can we? I wouldn't be changing my Easter Monday plans quite yet, though.
Westl
Nice little dig there :P I'm really hoping we make the semi's because one of the games would be on my birthday.......proper session there.
Rocky7
Keep winning, keep in the Champions League, secure 4th spot and then come back to Fratton Park and be nice....

Rocky looks as if you got your wish, Happy B'day in advance! Greta result, no doubt. Do you think Arsenal's play forced Juve to have a bad night or were they the team that barely got past Werder Bremen?
