Rocky Rocastle Tribute Match

David Rocastle is and Arsenal legend, he was a great player and a true gentleman

He always played his game with his heart on his sleave, never one to shirk responsibility, he had a crunching tackle to accompany his silky skills. He was dearly loved by his family, friends and football fans all over the world.

Rocky was sadly taken from us at the tender age of 33.

A young man named Ross Clark has taken it upon himself to set up a petition in order to try and arrange a 'Rocky Rocastle' tribute match with all proceeds going to the charity set up in his name to combat the disease that claimed his life.

Ross is also contacting Chelsea and Leeds Utd with regards to the match.

This week see's Arsenal Football Club celebrate the life of David in a 'Rocastle tribute week', climaxing at the Aston Villa match on Saturday.

Please sign this petition, and be sensible. This is a serious matter and I would like to think that football fans aren't brainless enough to ruin something that is done with good intentions.

Not good news. It's always sad when anyone dies, particularly at such a young age, and then when it's a well known footballer it grips us all in unity. All divides, and rivalry fades into the background and common appreciation and sensitivity takes over. Hope all goes well and the family go forward with fond memories.
