Back From The Ash-es

Ashley Cole is only three weeks away from a return to the first team according to Arsene Wenger.

Wenger revealed that Cole will resume running in training next week, from which time it will a further two weeks till his return.

'Ashley Cole is doing quite well,' said Arsène Wenger 'In the last week he has developed. He should go out next week and start running. From there it will be two weeks.

Cole has suffered an injury riddled season, and has not played competitively since October.

Although it will be good to have Cole back, it will be even harder to find a spot for him. Mathieu is really doing a great job, and with Ashley desire to not declare himself for the club it begs the question. He has made moves to leave Arsenal and along with Viera unsettle Arsenal, perhaps the time has come to let him declare if he wants to play for Arsenal again.

Flamini deserves all the plaudits. He has been phenominal playing out of position. Look at some of the players he has kept at bay over the past few weeks.
