Gilberto has urged his team mate and friend, Thierry Henry, to sign for the rest of his career.
Henry has been pondering his future for a long while now and Brazilian midfielder, Gilberto, wants more than anything for Henry to pledge his future to the club.
Henry has been on sizzling form of late, helping the Gunners beat Liverpool, Real Madrid and Juventus, and if we carry on as we are, Bert thinks Henry will have no hesitaion but to sign.
'It would be nice to see Thierry stay here forever,' said the World Cup winner. 'He has seen the progress the team is making, and seen us growing together.
'He likes the club, the fans love him and he is very friendly with all the other players.
'Even off the pitch, the atmosphere at Arsenal is like a family. These are things that you have to think about.
'But we all appreciate that it is a very difficult decision for Thierry.'
'If we were to win the Champions League, I'm sure it would work in our favour,'
'But even if the results do not go as we would want or expect, Thierry would still think hard about his decision.'
