Bert Wants Henry To Stay Forever

Bert Wants Henry To Stay Forever

Gilberto has urged his team mate and friend, Thierry Henry, to sign for the rest of his career.

Henry has been pondering his future for a long while now and Brazilian midfielder, Gilberto, wants more than anything for Henry to pledge his future to the club.

Henry has been on sizzling form of late, helping the Gunners beat Liverpool, Real Madrid and Juventus, and if we carry on as we are, Bert thinks Henry will have no hesitaion but to sign.

'It would be nice to see Thierry stay here forever,' said the World Cup winner. 'He has seen the progress the team is making, and seen us growing together.

'He likes the club, the fans love him and he is very friendly with all the other players.

'Even off the pitch, the atmosphere at Arsenal is like a family. These are things that you have to think about.

'But we all appreciate that it is a very difficult decision for Thierry.'

'If we were to win the Champions League, I'm sure it would work in our favour,'

'But even if the results do not go as we would want or expect, Thierry would still think hard about his decision.'

I'm quietly confident now, he seems alot happier in himself and with Arsene Wenger being this confident......he must know something we don't!!

He definetly is alot happier recently, and it has really shown on the pitch. As long as we qualify for the CL im sure he will stay. That seems the only reason why he is holding off for the moment. I think Henry has been fantastic through all of this and fully deserves all the time he needs to make up his mind

The fourth Champions League spot is ours to throw away now, all we have to do is keep on winning games. I'm confident Henry will stay if we get in, as we're showing this year that we can match his ambitions in Europe, and we're only going to get better.
