Mathieu Flamini - Arsenal Left Back

The latest Vital Arsenal poll asked Arsenal fans which player they thought had been the best left back for Arsenal this season.

Well the votes are in and you have voted in your kazillions, and never has a Vital Arsenal poll been so one sided.

Mathieu Flamini was the 8th choice to play at left back for Arsenal this season, and aparently the best.

We have suffered an injury list the likes of I have never seen, especially in defence, and yet we still have the third best defensive record in the Premiership and have just set a new record for most clean sheets on the bounce in the Champions League and only conceding 2 goals so far in the competition.

And Mathieu has done his part.

Flamini hasn't shirked responsibility once, infact, so far he has faced the likes of Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Robinho, Zindane, Cameranesi and has come out on top everytime.

And lets not forget he is playing out of position.

So lets raise a glass to the young Frenchman, ok, well I would have if I hadn't drunk everthing last night!!

Poll Results in full:-

*Gael Clichy 2%

The dude is fearless. I was abit worried when he first moved to that position because he had a tendancy to run around like a headless chicken and I thought he'd get caught out alot, but he has been brilliant. Deserves all the praise.

He is a Great player, though I wonder what will happen when Ashley Cole returns.
