Reyes Angered By 'Ridiculous' Card

Some may think I have my blinkers on with regards to this incident, but for Jose Reyes to receive a yellow cards for time wasting 20 minutes into a game, is, as Jose says, ridiculous.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is nothing in the rules that says you have to sprint over to take a corner and when he got there I'm certain he didn't take so much time that it warranted a yellow card.

Reyes will now miss the first leg of the semi final aginst Villa Real, and he's not pleased.

The yellow card was simply ridiculous,' said Reyes.

'The referee made that call and it's a blow because I was looking forward to playing against Villarreal.

'At least it will allow me to be fresh and calmer for the return leg and to help my team reach the final.'

The single bonus being that Reyes will return with a clean slate, and unless he gets sent off, will be available for the final should we get that far.
