Pires To Villarreal?

The night after Arsenal took a 1-0 first leg advantage over Villarreal, Robert Pires has confirmed the 'Yellow Submarine' have offered him a two year deal.

Arsene Wenger has decided to stick by his one year for over 30's policy, something Pires is decidedly unhappy with.

Pires has been speaking to various clubs but has issued a statement saying Villarreal have put in a firm offer, although he did reitterate his first priority is to help Arsenal to Euro glory.

'Villarreal want me for two seasons.

'The most important thing at the moment is for me to help Arsenal get into the final. After that, if I have to talk to the people from Villarreal, I will.'

'They are a great team and I like Spain and the Spanish league,'

If Bobby does leave, lets hope he keeps up his great record of scoring against Spurs before he goes!

I don't really wont Pires to leave, he's a great fantastic player, though so is reyes whom can gradually replace him.

Pires is just being stupid .I mean he know the policy why cant he take it that u cant have a two year deal.He is a good player but he has to deal with the conciquences.

Rules are mere rules..they can be twisted, turned and adjusted as per the circumstances..in this case Pires still has the fire power to steam on like Alan Shearer and others so some compromise needs to be reached here. The guy loves shooting for the Gunners so and his commitment is reflected in the pitch so what can you say? Pacific Islander Arsenal Fan Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
