Jol Lies Again

Serial liar, Martin Jol has been telling porkies again this morning, in a bid to make Wenger look like the villian.

Mr Wenger and Martin Jol had a fierce toe to toe at pitch side on Saturday after Tottenham failed to put the ball in to touch when Manu Eboue was down injured.

Jol said he didn't see the incident even though replays clearly showed him screaming at his players to carry on, a strange thing to do if you haven't seen anything, no??

After the game the two managers didn't shake hands, Jol was straight onto the pitch with Wenger heading off down the tunnel.

In an after match interview Martin Jol played down the incident saying,

He added: 'I was going to the referee and shook hands with him.'

Even though Wenger is not completly innocent in the incident, deciding not to wait for Martin Jol to come back off the pitch for the customary handshake, Jol is trying to make Wenger look like the villian by lying,

'I hate it when I'm right and I offer somebody a handshake and they walk away. That's very difficult to take.'

So Jol offered Wenger the handshake from the pitch did he?

So, was Wenger wrong to publically call Martin Jol a liar? Maybe, but was he correct? Most definately.

The fact that Martin Jol reckons he didn't see the incident when blatantly you can here the man saying "Play, play play.." on Sky Sports microphones testifies that the man was lying, its as simple as that. The fact that the pikey Michael Carrick played on is another matter, and the fact that The Arsenal thought he would put the ball out and didn't play to the whistle is another. However for Jol to say he didn't see the players on the floor is a nonsence. I'm not sure whether AW stepped over the mark calling the pie eating chubby Martin van Jol-ly Fat Man 'a liar' - however what would you do in that situation where someone has blatantly lied for the whole world to see - you're not exactly going to say "oh that was a really honest assessment there chief"
