Wenger: Campbell Will Start

Sol Campbell will start in the centre of defence against Villarreal on Tuesday.

It will be Campbell's first game back after suffering a broken nose in the 1-1 draw against Portsmouth, but now is ready to come back.

“Senderos is out, Sol Campbell will play for Senderos,” said Wenger.

“He will start the game. It is a little bit of a gamble because he’s not had a number of games but is physically alright and he will be OK.”

The question is who will partner Sol?

Toure? with the risk of missing the final due to the possibility of a yellow card, or Johan Djourou, the less experienced player but it would protect Kolo till the final.

Decisions decisions.

I say have Johan Djourou in the starting line up, and then at half time or later switch to Kolo Toure. Campbell is a gamble however he is experienced so he can rise to the challenge.

Minesh - I'm really disapointed with Arsenal fans reluctance to give Sol the vote of confidence, we are all forgetting how good Sol is, he may have lost a bit of pace but he hasn't become crap over night. I'm more than happy to have Sol in our line up.

Yeah true, I guess its just the manner in which he stopped playing and also the mistake at west ham, people just decided he lost it and then when people saw senderos become good they just saw Campbell as a worse player as when we had him our results weren't too good, however when he got injured and Senderos came, the champions league matches came which we done great in. Guess it a mixture of bad luck too; I was saying it’s a gamble playing him as he hasn't had proper first team action in ages,

when has anyone ever questioned arsene`s tactical decisions? surely hes not losing it in the final few games of the season?

Better be good Campbell we do not want that upset that happened against westham.

Cammpbell looked ok against us (pompey) especially considering how long he'd been out.
