'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Henry Honoured By Award

When Thierry Henry was awarded the 'FWA Player of the year' award, he became the first player to have won the honour three times.

Presented with the title in 2003 & 2004, Henry became one of a small few to win the award back to back, and now he becomes the first to win it three times.

But he says it wouldn't have been possible without his team mates.

'As I always say, in football itís all about the team and without my team-mates I would not have won this award,' said Henry.

'What Iím especially proud of though is that Iím the first person to win the Footballer of the Year trophy three times. Itís always pleasing to be the first to achieve something, itís a little piece of history.

'My hope now is that the team go on to create our own piece of history by becoming the first ever Arsenal side to win the Champions League. I would just like to thank all the FWA members who voted for me. Itís a real honour and I feel privileged to have won.'

The ALL TIME Gunner Legend deserves that accolade. Thierry, PLEASE SIGN UP first, THEN take on Barcelona in the CL Grand Final in Paris. That would be a MASSIVE MORALE BOOSTER for the other Gunners to take the spoils in Paris. The Gunners from the world over love you heaps as an Arsenal icon. A deserved award for the best player in the world (in my opinion!). It would be a great loss for Arsenal and the Premiership if he left.
