Le Boss Looks For Sol Stay

Arsene Wenger looks for Sol Campbell to sign a new contract and stay for a few more years.

Sol has suffered a turbulent season, with the imfamous walk out incident at Highbury against West Ham earlier in the seaon, capping what had been an injury riddled campaign until then.

Wenger said: 'I hope Sol remains with us next year.

'He struggled a lot this year and, since the West Ham game, which was certainly a shock for him, he has changed.

'The commitment is there and he is fully focused on the game again.

'Maybe sometimes you need a little bit of a shock to realise what you miss when you don't have it.

'He looks to me like he will be here for longer and you need the experience of players like him.'

yep agreed. I think if he gets the chance next season he will do well.

Sol Campbell is our most experienced defender, I doubted him slightly before the game against Villarreal but now I see him as an important defender that can drive the young team forward. He may be getting old, but his experience is important and we will need him for a longer time.

It'll be good to have him for experience, but I would like to see us bring in another quality defender for next season. I don't think Senderos or Campbell are good enough if I'm honest.
