'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fenerbahce Deny Sol Signing

With the season at a close, the transfer market is getting into full swing, with rumours coming thick and fast.

With the Henry saga all squared away, the biggest story doing the rounds at the minute is that of Sol Campbell's possible move to Fenerbahce.

Up until now there has been now quotes from either club, or the player confirming anything either way, but now the Turkish giants have spoken out.

In a statement issued on the oifficial website, Fenerbahce had this to say.

'Rumours that we have agreed all terms with Arsenal FC's Sol Campbell are untrue.'

'Claims that the player concerned will be arriving in Turkey to complete the deal do not reflect the truth.'

So they haven't signed him, but there's nothing to say they won't. On the contrary, rumour has it that Fener have tabled a bid and are awaiting response.

Big Sol still has 3 years left on his contract.

I'd be more than happy to see him leave for the touted 8million - but somehow I can't see it happening.
