'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Theo Walcott Will Play

Sven Goran Eriksson has today revealed that Theo Walcot will get his first taste of action against Belarus for the B-team on Thursday.

Sven says that Theo is really begining to shine in the England set up, and while he may not start, he will feature at some point.

'You will see him [Walcott] on Thursday,' said Eriksson on Sky Sports News. 'Maybe not from the beginning during the game, I'm quite sure about that.

'I learned a lot as I saw him in four good sessions there [in Portugal]. He was quiet in the beginning but, after a while, you can see he's a really, really great talent.

'He's very quick, has a good touch and scored a couple of goals in the last session.'

Eriksson also confirmed that Ashley Cole & Sol Campbell will start the game.

'It's very good for all of the players but especially Owen, for example. He's not played much football this season. Cole and Campbell are the same, probably. All three will start on Thursday.'

The game will be a good test for all three Arsenal players who have got points to prove.

Anyone know if this will be on the terestrial TV? :)

Afraid the game will only be shown on Sky Sports. Suggest a good old fashioned trip to the pub ;)

Or pop down to Reading yourself. Tickets are £15 and as far as I know aren't sold out yet.

Nobody will know until he actually does play in a meaningful game will they? Then we will see who was/is right.
