'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tomas Rosicky A Gooner?

Bloody typical isn't it, you spend all of you day off work trawling the internet for stories to print on this slow news week, and as soon as you pop out for a game of football, it appears a player signs for your team.

There was rumblings this afternoon that Rosicky was due a medical at Arsenal today, after some guy on a forum reckoned his mate works for the Arsenal physio team.........oh how we all laughed. I guess he got the last laugh.

Czech Republic manager, Karel Bruckner, spilled the beans earlier when he revealed Rosicky had been given permission to leave the training camp to agree a deal.

Bruckner said,

'I am surprised it did not come to light earlier. We have tried to keep our promise to keep quiet but I must now admit that Tomas is undergoing medical tests,'

It is now rumoured that he passed the medical and we are now on the verge of concluding the deal.

It appears for once, Vital Arsenal has been a bit slow off the mark.

Great news if its true. He's a quality player!

Rosicky is a gr8 team player and i expect he will fit in perfectly BUT WHERE? He is supposed to be central but there is no space for a creative centre mid as we have cesc and Hleb. I think he's too similar to Hleb but Wenger wouldn't buy two of the same for no reason. Ultimate team player though so should be exciting.

That clips the first i've seen of him so I can't really comment, looked good though ;)

He played on the left for Sparta Prague, and in the early days at Dortmund too. Don't forget, Arsene Wenger is the architect in transforming players positions. He can play centrally, left or an advance attacking role. Superb signing that gives us so many options, it's almost like signing two players.

Maybe he could play in goal, lol

he's great player indeed

I saw on sky sports he really is a good midfielder and could tear the defence. He will be a new person into the premiership but who to sacrifise maybe pires.

He's more similar to Derek Tapscott and we need someone who can play inside left while Theo is developing (Reyes to me is more of an outright left winger). With Sasha in the inside right and Pires or Ljungberg (I can't see both of them leaving) outside right, it means we have the capability of switching the midfield from a left sided focus to a right sided focus - and lets not forget that Rosicky can also play in the proverbial "hole". I am well chuffed about this signing if it happens! But we STILL need Joey Barton :)

You have to admire AW's skills in communication skills to change a player's mind to join arsenal when it's almost a done deal for the other club. Of course, having TH should be convincing enough.

Who you probably lose his place to make way?

A great, he'll fit right with Arsenal's style of play. But now we've got a midfield problem with a lot of CM. A think that Larsson and Pires(maybe Cygan) will leave thi summer.

Once again great deal!

Hes quick and skillful and not bad defensively. Im suprised no ones taken a chance on him in the PL until now. I assume he'll play in midfield alonside Gilberto with maybe Faregas moving up alongside Henry.
