Emirates Watch: The Pitch

Emirates Watch: The Pitch

With the deadline for the completion of Ashburton Grove slowly creeping upon us, the finishing touches are being done to the new home of football.

One of the most important things in football is, well, the pitch. You can't play professional football without it, and the better the pitch, the more chance of playing a beautiful passing game.

Well the Arsenal groundman has, once again worked wonders. The turf has been grown (notice I say grown and not laid) with all the latest technology to ensure we have a pitch equal to, if not better than the superb carpet we had at Highbury.

Wow looks great, if the pitch will be as good as Highbury then we have one of the best stadiums ever.

It's looking good! This stadium will be then envy of football fans across the country. I bet the FA wish they'd got the Arsenal board to organise the rebuilding of Wembley. Watching this come together makes a mockery of the FA's excuses of their project being difficult as it's 'in London'.
