'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wenger To Madrid? Get Real!

I'm not sure why I'm even bothering writing an article about this, because it's a complete non-starter. But here we go.

Real Madrid presidential candidate, Carlos Sainz, has stated he wants to bring Arsene Wenger to the club should he get elected.

It's a clear publicity stunt with the sole aim of securing votes, as anyone who knows anything about football knows Wenger will not leave while his contract is still in place.

When asked if he would try to lure Arsene Wenger to the Bernabeau, he said,

'We are in the process of trying to do that,'

'We want a complete overhaul of the club.

'We need to secure a general manager and a coach first who will be at the heart of the club.'

But don't worry Gooners, it will never happen.

Lets look at the evidence for him staying with the Gunners:-

He has fulfilled every contract of his working life.

He enjoys the managing side as much as the coaching side, he would not have full control at Madrid.

The president and fans pick the team.

The president picks the transfer targets.

Ashburton Grove is just weeks away from completeion, Wenger will definately want to lead his young team out in the new season.

Why would anyone build a brand new team consisting of the cream of the worlds young talent and then bugger off?

The fact that Arsene himself said he wants to stay at Arsenal for life.

Now lets looks at the prosecutions argument.

Reasons to leave:-

........................................

Well that's about it, conclusive proof that Mr Wenger will remain at Arsenal.

carlton owl
If you cut Wenger he would bleed Arsenal. Why anyone would want to be Real Madrid's manager is beyond me. It's a lose lose situation.
BigYid

kenyanrudeboy
The devout father has an army to get ready for battle. No way that, he will shun his crucial task mid-way!
SWPACIFIC
They can dream.... why would he want to join Real Madrid?! They have a bunch of over the hill and over paid 'galacticos' who don't actually know how to function as a team. Arsenal on the other hand have a great young team and are about to move to a 60,000 seater stadium!
pitythefool
So he would rather coach in the cosy environs of a 60,000 seat stadium than a more imposing 80,000 seat venue? I do agree with the other comments, though.
Westl
arsene is arsenal through and through , it wont happen
lawz1981
Well, by being in Spain, he'd be closer to Africa and cut down on shipping charges of African players he's slipping into Europe through his black market import scheme. Boost his profits and maybe even let him do a little first-hand scouting. Entirely credible report, I'd say.
