Arsenal Star Set To Leave

Arsenal centre-back, Sol Campbell looks likely to leave the Gunners after admitting the chances of him joining Fenerbahce are 'very high'.

Campbell has been a rock for the Gunners after his shock transfer from White Hart Lane, but after a season of turmoil, it looks like the big man has his sights set on a move.

'The probability of me joining Fenerbahce is very high,' Campbell told the Vatan newspaper.

'Not because they've offered me a lot of money, but because they have challenged me. Everything will be clearer after the World Cup.'

Campbell tried to give little away, but it was a poor attempt, virtually admitting he has his heart set on leaving half way through the interview.

'It is obvious that they are considering me seriously,' Campbell said. 'They made me a good and full offer. We are progressing step-by-step. I will give my decision after the World Cup.

'But, the probability of me joining Fenerbahce is bigger than that of refusing the offer.'

The departure of Campbell will certainly make Arsene Wenger's transfer activity that little bit more busy.

Nooooooooo, I like Campbell and always have, he's been great and a real gem for us, he can improve more and I'd rather see him in the back four than senderous.
gunner-minesh
Its a shame, hopefully Senderos will cover him well, fear not though, we still have Cygan! ;)
TimJ
he cannot improe anymore he is old man, it's ok if he wants to leve for a better challenge, let the old man go, i say. cheers
arsenalim
i think the timing is right, we learned to play without him and he is past his best. we might see wenger pursue c.davies a bit harder now
mish
So has it finally been confirmed that he is going or is it just that the rumour mill is getting so thick each passing day?
SWPACIFIC
Turkey is a horrible place to play football. The atmosphere in the grounds is like a pressure cooker. They slaughter goats in front of players and try to spray them with its blood. Normally I wouldn't wish this on my enemies....but.......HOHOHOHOHO. f**k off and don't come back you Judas f**kbag!
BigYid
If he does leave for Fener, it's safe to say that the WC will be the last time he plays for England. Carragher will be playing the premier league, so he'd be more likely to get the spot at first replacement CB when Terry or Ferdinand are injured.
TheTruth
did nt think he would go i think he will be missed
lawz1981
Do you not like him then BigYid???, think his best days are behind him.
sdandrk
If his heart is not in the club, then get rid as soon as poss, however good he's been in the past. That sort of attitude can easily spread.
FEn_100
You picked up on my vibe there did you sdandrk.
