Arsenal In Race To Sign  Worlds Best

It has been revealed that Arsenal are in negotiations to sign Gianluigi Buffon, who is widely considered the best goal keeper in the world.

The players agent claims that talks are under way but will not be simple.

'The negotiation exists, but it isn't easy.'

'London is a pleasing option, but Gigi would like to stay in Italy.

Even though Buffon appears at first hand to want to remain in Italy, he seems happy that negotiations are under way.

'Despite this, Arsenal remains a welcome solution.'

Buffon would be a welcome edition at Ashburton Grove as Jens Lehmann approaches his 37 birthday and our goalkeeping backup clearly isn't up to scratch.

True lehmann is getting old and almunia isnt sort of goalie u would replace lehmann so buffun will be great if he comes

A fantastic goalkeeper however negotiations have are only preliminary at this stage.It is widely known that he is an admirer of the EPL and should juve be punished with relegation then Arsenal will be among favourites for his signiture.

From what I hear about the Juventus situation they are 90% sure to get relegated meaning plenty of top players on the cheap perhaps? due to them still owing us £10m for Vieira we apparently have first refusal on any member of their squad, so id say this is a big possibility.

Only later though.It certainly looks likely that Arsenal will negotiate for alot of Juve's stars should they get relegated and Buffon is looking for an escape route and he could be using our interest to engineer an move to another top Italian club.

yea and wot if he starts match fixin, tht will ***** us rite up! we dnt need juve playes, esp viera, he wanted to leave and he sed they were a bigger club and achieve more things at juve and not us e.g. the european cup, but wot happened there, young cesc played him off the park, we dnt need none of thm, if any1, we cld do with trezeguet

And why would we need another striker?? We have Henry, RvP, Reyes, Adebayor, Lupoli, Bendtner. Our goalkeeping staff consists of a 36 year old German, as fantastic as he is he wont be around much longer, another 30 odd year old who couldnt get in the Sunderland team, and a Spaniard who is prone to more than a clanger or two.............and yet you dont think we need one of the best keepers in the world?? As for match fixing, it's got nothing to do with the players so that comment is redundant!! BTW, who mentioned Vieira?
