Arsenal - Wenger In Striker Link

Arsene Wenger claims he has been keeping tabs on Holland and Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt.

Whilst commentating on French TV station TF1, Arsenal chief let slip that he had been checking on the Dutch forward.

Wenger said,

'I went over to Feyenoord to check on him and he is a very generous player who works for the team.'

What he didn't make clear was when he actually went over. The comment could have been innocent in the sense that the scouting was done in a previous year and the manager decided not to proceed.

Only time will tell.

We don't need him and if we did buy him, he'd struggle to make the first team. RvP and Adebayor are perfect to partner Henry.

I must say I haven't seen anything that makes me sit up and take notice of the player. I'd much rather van Persie got a sustained run in the side.
Rocky7
we were discussing him the other day, we were after him for ages and was rele looking forward to seeing him, but we aint been impressed at how he's played in the world cup.

I can think of many other strikers who i'd rather see - Fernando Torres or Trezeguet for starters. Wenger's in no rush, he's happy with what he's got. So am i.
KingGooner
I thought AW was interested in him a while ago, when I heard he was spotted at a Feyenord game.
Super Cesc
he's an ugly boy, thats for sure!
elmo85
Totally with you there Elmo, I mean, who has blonde eyebrows?!?!?!?!
Rocky7
In my opinion he doesn't have the qualities to suceed at our club. But then people said that about Thierry Henry. I would however prefer Torres or for VanPersie to be given a run.
Regiboy
Hey, have all of you guys forgotten your wonderboy Theo?

How are you happy with whatyou have when u come 4th last year and you have replaced Pires with Rosicky ? Thats no strengthening
Boony
I do think another striker to partener Henry week in week out is required however i do not feel kuyt is the man to do so ... we need a real star thats gonna make other fight for there place a little more ... look at last season henry didnt no who he was playing with from 1 week to the next ... and bonds were not being formed between the strikers very well i would like to see david villa or fernando torres or even as was mentioned in a forum earlier robiniho, if cole was to leave robiniho would be a cheap and easy target on a part exchange, partnering henry week in week out i no it would cost a little bit more money but i think it would be a help

WE DONT WANT KUYT. I havent been impressed with him in this years WC. Hopefully Wengers trying some reverse psychology as those w*** stains sPOORs try to sign every player we glance at!!
StryfedaGunner
Boony, our strengthen came in the experience all our younger players gained by being thrown in at the deep end last season. I bet Arsenal improve next season more than Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool. Money can't buy everything you know.
