Ashley Cole Set To Leave?

With the Real Madrid presidential elections just around the corner, the whole world has gone rumour mad.

The craziest of which is one of the candidates claiming he has agreed a deal with Wenger. Complete rubish.

However, with the emergance of Man Utd's Cristiano 'Whoops I fell over' Ronaldo revealing his 'dream' of joining Real Madrid, Real Madrid presidential candidate Lorenzo Sanz say he will unleash four contracts on Thursday.

Two from Inter Milan, one Portuguese (Ronaldo) and one English man.

After racking my brains the only English player I could possibly see hopping on a plane to the Bernabeau would be Cole, that is assuming of course that this geezer isn't lying out of his arse.

'With [Inter president] Massimo Moratti, I have reached an agreement for an exchange of players between Real Madrid and Inter,' revealed Sanz.

'On Thursday we will present the four contracts with the clubs and players to demonstrate that we have made signings, not like the others.

'Those four players are, not to give many clues, two from Inter, another one is Portuguese and the fourth is English.'

Maybe my theory of a Cole/Baptista swap may come to pass after all.

hmmm, we've been here before. I hope i doesn't happen, Cole is the best left-back in europe. However, if he does go i'm sure Gael Clichy will make sure he's not missed.
KingGooner
Hopefully we can finally land Robinho after they disrupted the deal at the eleventh hour...
MickeyMouse
As i have said before, Cole by far one of my favourite players who is english too and is the best left back in the world to me. He is an Arsenal player through and through and i'd hate to see him leave.
gunner-minesh
Or they may want to swap Roberto Carlos for Wayne Bridge....
MickeyMouse
Arsenal wouldn't want Roberto Carlos or Wayne Bridge
KingGooner
hehe KingGooner....

Rubbish! those idiotic Real candidates have been doing this for ages now, and they'll make any rumour they can to get elected! If this is true however, I would like us to go for Robinho, or maybe Baptista.
Super Cesc
Robinho all the way - what a talent and he should have been ours anyway.
KingGooner
do u honestly believe robinho would last 5 mins in the prem? he was crap in spain for the most part of last year, wouldnt stand a chance here!
elmo85
Do you mean physically, Elmo? Because he started his career in Brazil and it's notorious for some seriously rough play round that neck of the woods.
Rocky7
are you saying you wouldn't want to give him a chance? Who really knows if a player will adapt to a new climate and league until they try it? Reyes was struggeling at one point and look at him now and people said Cesc would never be able to fill Viera's shoes. People can be very wrong.
KingGooner
Cole has been one of England's best players at the World Cup. And I can't see why he would want to move to Madrid. Arsenal's future looks much brighter

i see what your saying rocky7, but im not so sure they get frost in brazil! they may have a few hatchet men in brazil, but i really do think he wouldn't have the strength needed to be a worthwile addition to any top team in the prem. i wouldnt have him at spurs, cant afford any passengers, they already play young-pyo lee!
elmo85
Lol, no, no frost!! Maybe he wouldn't be a great addition to Spurs but I firmly believe he would fit in perfectly on the right side of midfield, suits our play down to the ground, I mean, look at Pires, he had all the strength of Bambi but went on to become one of our greatest goalscoring midfielders ever.
Rocky7
Hes certainly done nothing to put off any other club. He may of added a few million.
dazza71
I am a huge fan of Cole and he is the best lb in the world. Any team would miss him. Clichy is ready to step into his shoes tho if needs be. And the money/swap deal could be welcome. Especially with a deal for Torres reportedly close to completion.
Regiboy
Kingooner - Cole is the best in Europe, Clichy will make sure he is not missed - is he the 2nd best in europe then ?
Boony
There is talk of Cole being the best Left back in europe ... i disagree he is the best left back in the world ! i cannot think of a left back better ? a left back who can tackle and attack as he does u may say carlos but to b fair his age is starting to get the better of him but as boony says clichy would make sure he wasnt missed for me when cole was out for a period of last season and just before clichy was injured ... clichy was playing just as good if not better football than cole maybe we could make a profit on cole now with a left back waiting to come thru ??? its certainly an idea
Achilles
I'd suggest that this geezer is a ventriloquist and is talking out of his arse too. lol
