Ashburton Grove now has somewhere for Thierry Henry to smash the ball. The posts are in place.

One of the most important bits of kit for a football match is the posts, and now, at the Emirates, we have some.

Oh really goalposts, bet you can't wait to see Terry knocking in a few and wait you may well have to. Where is the news that with less than a month to go you dont have a licence to operate the stadium and now full public consultation on controversial match-day road closures has been given. If local councillors refuse to agree to close these roads, then the stadium cannot open." 6 are opposed. The police have confirmed that, without the road closures, they will oppose granting Arsenal a stadium licence - a legal requirement under the Football Licensing Act. And Chief Superintendent Barry Norman, Islington's top cop, has separately voiced his fears about crowd safety on match days, especially as planned upgrades to nearby rail and tube stations have been axed. That is just part of it, parking coaches the the surrounding roads rather than in underground parking stations, the emergency services not being able to get through, the list goes on and you have goalposts.

Obviously major capital expenditure for Arsenal when there is a big announcement like this, maybe next you could splash out and get some white lines as well but will understand if the piggy is a little empty after this.

Me thinks there are some bitter comments from non-Arsenal fans being posted!!! Are all you guys a little scared and upset that our new stadium is gonna be better than all yours? I admit that the goalposts aren't huge news (unless your a Gooner!!! and if you're not then why even click on the link to bring you here???) And as for Mr Teddylyon??? do you honestly think that the stadium won't be open for the new season??? really, do you think that??? No seriously??? That's what I thought, you're just being a silly little ****** aren't ya???
