'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bendtner & The Teddy Bears

New Glasgow Rangers boss, Paul Le Guen, claims to have held talks with Arsene Wenger over the possible tranfer of Arsenal wonderkid, Nicklas Bendtner.

Bendtner is very highly thought of at Arsenal by both fans and staff alike, but it now appears that Arsene's good friend is very keen on taking him to Ibrox.

The Danish forward has been formidible in the Arsenal reserves forming an awesome partnership with Italian striker, Arturo Lupoli, but now, he could be on the move.

'Yes, this is a name (Bendtner) I know. I called Arsene Wenger one month ago, but that is all at the moment,' said Le Guen.

What isn't clear is whether the talks have been regarding a loan move or a permanent one.

In the past Wenger has been keen on loaning out young prospects to see how they handle the week to week battles on the pitch, with most not making the grade.

It would be a real shame to lose this kid now. He promises so much and his form in reserves has been excellet, a real centre forward. However I think a one year loan deal would do him the world of good.

Really hope it's a loan deal being discussed. Seen him play a couple of times and been really impressed. I appreciate Wenger needs to sign big name players to appease the fans, but lets not forget the talent we have in the reserves.

I for one hope this is only a loan deal we are talking about, as this lad has it all, and I would have him in the full squad NOW! GunnerPete

I hope for your sake that if it comes off it's a loan. But i guess that you've got to accept that A.W. knows his onions if he sells.

ye arsene wenger will no that if he is to become a good player then he should stay at arsenal and maybe loan him out to make sure that he is able to play in a differnet enviroment and can he hack it

Wenger thinks he's going to be better than Zigic, which is nice to know. He definitely needs the first team experience though - it's going to be hard for him breaking into Arsenal though with Henry, Walcott, Adebayor, Van Persie, Lupoli, Aliadiere and possibly even Saviola.
