'If It's Football, It's Vital'

€100 Million For Fabregas?

Francesc Fabregas' agent today echoed Arsene Wenger's sentiments that the player will not be leaving Arsenal anytime soon.

Not only did Joseba Diaz say that the player wasn't for sale, but he said the Gunners would let him go even if we were offered €100 Million.

'Cesc is staying at Arsenal, they wouldn't sell him for a hundred million euros,' Diaz told Catalan sports newspaper Sport.

'It's not a blow for Cesc, nor for his family, nor for me; quite the opposite, it's a source of pride.

'We are very thankful to Arsenal who are part of Cesc's life, just like Barcelona.

'We are not the kind of player or agent who would try to force their exit from a club.

'We would never try to stab in the back a club (Arsenal) who have done so much for Cesc.'

Diaz also confirmed Arsenal were catergorically not interest in Julio Baptista.

'Arsenal don't want Baptista, they want Cesc,' he added.

It has also been rumoured that Cesc asked Arsene Wenger to issue his statement yesterday so a line could be drawn under that matter and he could go on with preparing for the new season. After a nice holiday of course.

what's that, about £80m... hmmm, it's enough to turn your head;)... that last quote 'Arsenal don't want Baptista, they want Cesc,' should have most definately been 'Arsenal don't want Baptista, they HAVE Cesc,'!!!!

80 million quid for Cesc, If I was Wenger I would bank the cheque, pack his bags and call the taxi for the airport. Great player but you could buy a couple of small sporting nations for that, Canada or Australia maybe.

Cesc is definitely NOT FOR SALE at this moment. That was the thrust of the message which happens to include some dollars in the same lines. Cesc is definitely a valuable player. Therefore, any hint of pocketing the dollars mentioned here are all side issues.
SWPACIFIC
This is the same as thierry henry henry was to be made the highest transferd player but arsenall didnt accept

I particularly like the comment from Cesc's agent 'We are not the kind of player or agent who would try to force their exit from a club. Is he a real person in this cut throat business of football agents where everything is based on greed.

For €100 Million, we'll give you del Horno, Bridge, Huth, SWP, Crespo, Geremi, Robben and Kenyon!
USA
No Thanks. You can keep them all.

Im not surprised that Cesc and Arsenal didn't accept the offer. Firstly, if Cesc went back to Spain it would only be for Barca who are rivals with Real M. Secondly, he's just settled into the first team and is a key figure, why would he leave and start over with Real. Finally, he'd be over-looked at Real. Its in his best interests to stay with Arsenal. He totally belongs with us.
