'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bendtner's Ultimatum

Nicklas Bendtner's agent, who is also his dad, has told that Bendtner must start to break in to the first team squad this season or he will look for other alternatives.

Bendtner, 18, has formed a formidible partnership with fellow reserve player, Arturo Lupoli over the past year or so in the reserves, but now he and his father feel it's time to take the next step.

'We are anxiously waiting to see the squad,' the player's agent Thomas Bendtner said to BT.

'It is very important for Nicklas, but one thing is certain and that is that he will play first team football this season.

'In case he is not in the squad, we will look at other alternatives.'

What he doesn't say whether or not one of the alternatives is a loan spell.

i dont no if we will be losing much but he does have a good record in the reserves league

niklas is a great young tallent who we should hang on to
ArsenalRob
Not sure that he's ready for Arsenal's first team yet, so he probably should be loaned out. If Wenger rejected a loan move, it probably means he wants him in the first team, or at least to evaluate him in the preseason to see if he can make the step up. Seems a simple matter of Bendtner needing to meet with Wenger and hash things out.

a loan to rangers would be great for him
ArsenalRob
he hasn't been given a first team squad number but neither has Larsson, Gilbert or Lupoli all of whom played for the first team last season.

I dont think you can force someone to put him to be in first place
kenyanrudeboy
who does he think he is, he's a reserve player with potential... trying to be like ashley cole with ultimatums like that!? it's in his own interest not to leave...
theking13
he should keep his mouth shut and work hard to get there. you dont just decide your going to be in the first team! the cheek!
elmo85
We should try and hang on to him. AW should loan him out to a respectable team where he will get 1st team appearances. But if he does go we have got another striker on his way in the near future in Carlos Vela, so no need to worry, i'm sure AW knows what he's doing..

i think maybe loaning him out to a smaller club may be the answer! this may giv him a 1st team experience 4 a season then he mayb ready, bt i do feel we must hang on to him cos he is a gr8 talent
Louis-10
He isnt demanding a first team place, nor does he say "I'm leaving if I'm not in the first team". He says he MAY look for alternatives but even that doenst mean a permanant move.
simmy8_2000
send him out on loan. He gets the first team experience he wants, and will be brought down to earth a bit. Seems like he and his Dad need that. And then he comes back a better player for the experience and a little more humble
