Ashley Cole Transfer Imminent?

Ashley Cole arrived back at Arsenal's training ground today after returning from honeymoon, and left after an hour.

Pictures on Sky Sports News show Cole speeding away from the training ground at Shenley after arriving only one hour previous.

While this could be all very innocent, the fact that the rest of the squad are partaking in a pre-season training camp in Austria (aside from Thierry Henry & Jens Lehmann who are due back on 2nd August)yet Cole remains at home suggests the wheels are in motion.

David Dein last week admitted that 'civilised' talks had begun with Chelsea, whilst Real Madrid have also been linked. Arsene Wenger also stated he could not gurantee that Cole would be an Arsenal player next season.

Rumours are also rife that the 'secret deal' Ashley Cole claimed was keeping him at Arsenal is that any club can speak to the player if they meet his 16 million quid buy out clause, unless of course, they are Chelsea, in which case they have to pay almost double.

While all this is speculation, the whole episode does seem to be picking up pace.

I heard he was speeding away from the training ground because David Dein was chasing him with a smith and weston automatic pistol.

I really hope he goes to Real, the slimy little *****er!!! At least there he'll fit in with the lying management/ presidents!!! The sooner he goes then the sooner we can start signing our big name stars!!! I'm thinking Shevchenko, Ballack, Carrick and probably Thuram....................What??? What you mean they're not available!!! Oh well how much is a Paul Dickov then???
scooch
Paul Dickov is unavailable aswell, ha ha. Maybe cygan has got a brother we can buy for 10 & give a 20 year contract to.

Hahaha OK Megan Cygan it is then!!! I realise that technically she's a girl, but she can't be any worse than her brother!!! PS. Shaun, we don't want him anymore!!! Your lot can have him if you want him. Give us 2m and your best CB haha

This is really dragging on and on now, I mean can't he just make up his mind to stay or not, I personally want him to stay, he is still a great player and is a great asset to our squad although it will be hard to forgive that annoying son of a B****. Overall I hope this saga ends soon, stays, we can then look forward, Goes we can then look for a good centre/left back with the added money, Arsene Wenger built Ashely Coe to his great standard-and this is how he says thanks.

Wow Paxtonyid, your spelling and grammar is awesome, you're obviously one of the more intelligent Spuds (believe me, I teach English in North London, i know!) Tell me this, are you able to speak without dribbling?
Little Dutch
whatever happens, it needs to happen sooner rather then later, either go or commit to the club and give 110% prove you want to stay here!
Johnaldiniho
boring!! cant wait for this to be over one way or another, its casting such a cloud over the start of what will be an historic season for us in our new stadium!
jim_the_gooner
I want AC to stay but I believe he will go and we will use the money to finance a defensive midfielder, possibly Mascherano or Baptista. Any quality DM at a reasonable price.
protocal
SELL HIM TO MADRID FOR CASH AND RONINHO!!!

they don't need him cause carlos is staying so it looks like he may be goin to chelsea unfortunately. but we hopefully can get 25-30 mil for him the we will be able to buy a quality DM like mascherano or even baptista, maybe hargreaves, who knows, only AW.
