No Bid For Ribery............Yet

No Bid For Ribery............Yet

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger
'categorically denied' that he had put in a bid for the French Winger after Arsenal's 3-0 win in Zagreb.

Reports in the tabloids suggest Wenger will tie up a 13 million pound deal, bringing the player in to replace Madrid bound Jose Antonio Reyes.

'I have not made a bid for Frank Ribery - I categorically deny that story.

'I have not made a bid for anybody. Will I? Frankly, I do not know.

'It depends if somebody goes or not - but even if somebody goes it is not sure I will make a bid for anybody.

'We have left an impressive list of players behind tonight.

'To add players to the team to just be spectacular, I am not going to do.'

However in the past, when Wenger has made denials with regards to players he will not be signing, he has always stated that we have enough players in that position, we wouldn't need/want that player or we simply can't afford him, but this time Arsene has only said he hasn't made a bid.

That's not to say he isn't going to, is it?

I think thats just wishful thinking. Wenger is like a woman trying to decide what to wear on a night out, one minute he is signing 1 or 2 players, then his not, then he is again & then his not sure.

Frank Ribery is a good player who doesn't fit on the bench, so we can buy him and put him on the bench. So we can either buy Ribery and sell Reyes or Reyes stay and no Ribery, becouse we got lot of good flank players. Reyes doesn't have enough game per season that why he's unsettle, his fellow spanish (Fabregas) never talk bout unsettle. But i'll prefer Ribery than unsettle Reyes

I hope we don't sign him, hes overrated and over hyped for the transfer fee being thrown around. Out of our current wingers he is only better then Freddie ability wise, but Freddie has experienced and is a willing team player. I would rather tell madrid to take a hike, and use Reyes who is a better player then Ribrey. I wouldn't start Ribrey even if we sold Reyes, i would rather Rosicky and Helb patrol the wings as they are both supererior players. I think ever arsenal fan can agree we need to strength the defence not on another attacking player. Ribrey has potential but hes way off forfilling it yet. Had a good world cup but few games in a tourny doesn't make a player, how many players had been bought on their tourny showing and been a total flop?

I disagree because players under Wenger tend to become better. Ribery would be good because he is strong, which will benefit us in the premiership, plus he is skillfull and likes to take on players, something which Reyes struggled to do in the latter of his career so far at Arsenal. Riberys aggresiveness and competitiveness can only benefit our team play and would surely be a decent signing. There probably are better wingers out there but Ribery has already formed a good relationship with Henry while playing for France and that will help him adapt easier and quicker at Arsenal.

to be honest i think that he is going to be putting a bid in and try to sign Ribery, but then again this is AW might and probely dont feel that we need another plyer at the moment in that position, but if Reyes goes, hope to god he dont then i think that he will end up getting him
