Cesc Shows Wenger His Gratitude

Cesc Shows Wenger His Gratitude

Cesc Fabregas has shown his true class in more ways than one this week.

The Spanish midfielder netted a brace in the CL qualifier against Dinamo Zagreb earlier this week in a display that proved he had made the transition from promising youngster to world class player.

Fabregas then issued a statement claiming he had Wenger to thank for his progression and the fact Wenger showed his faith in the player meant he was going to repay his French gaffer.

'There was speculation about Real Madrid and me in the summer. They are a big club with a big history,' said Fabregas.

'But I am an Arsenal player and they are also the club who believed in me since I was 16.

'I have to thank Arsène Wenger for all he has done for me.'

Fabregas also expressed his desire to have fellow countryman, Jose Antonio Reyes to remain a gooner admitting we need his talents.

'We need players like José,' insisted Fabregas. 'He is a very good guy, very intelligent, scores goals and makes a lot of assists.'

After all this news of Cashley it is refreshing to hear some good news about a player that has the grapes to stay with his club. It's not about the money, he's grateful to AW for believing in him before he was world class player and for taking him to that level.

Did anyone doubt he would stay? even with the normal summer madrid saying he wanted to go their and already agreeded personnel terms....what bs. Fabregas is an example to all young players and other ones like Cole should look at him and be ashamed. I hope fabregas stays his entire career here and writes himself into arsenal history.

let hope that arsenal will have a good season otherwise i dont see how we can keep him away from madrid. this ******** club is becoming our main obstacle to build a great team. when ever wenger raise up a world class player from nothing the ******** ****s are there waiting to unsetle him. it has been always a very painful summer because of madrid, with anelka, vieira, baptista, etc.. now since we cant sign ribery i hope we will hold on reyes.

this guy is an obsolute legend, he is one of the best players, young and old to grase a arsenal shirt, people say that players these day have no commitment or passion for the clubs thay play for, this have proved them wrong, and judging by his performances on the games mid week, hes going to be with us for a long time yet

Cesc is a real grown up man. It's refreshing to hear him talk about how and who made the important contributions to make him what he is today. You're a great footballer. I take my hat off for you, Cesc.
