Henry: Ledley Is King

Henry: Ledley Is King

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry seems to be on a mission to endear himself to the rest of the Premiership by being complimentary to every other team in the league.

Just a day after claiming Chelsea have won back to back titles on their own merits rather than with the obscene sums of money they spend every year, the Arsenal skipper has now laid the plaudits on his Tottenham counterparts.

Henry believes that Ledley King is the fairest defender in the league, and for him, that makes him one of the best.

'I don't like defenders who hold the shirts of other players. The only defender here who doesn't do that and sometimes still gets the ball off my feet easily is Ledley King.

'He is the only guy who doesn't hold players. He will get the ball off you without you even noticing. For me, that is a good defender.

'He plays without any contact yet is somehow still strong and gets the ball without doing any fouls.'

As much as it would pain any Gooner to admit that Spurs have a player of real quality, you must give credit where credit is due.

However, Henry has never been on the opposing side of Kolo Toure ;)

I have to say I agree with TH on this one. However, I think his buttering everyone up and ingratiating himself with opponents could be what John Lennon described as "those Mind Gaaaaaaames."

Ledley King is not the ar$ehole that Campbell was, he has even done the dirty on you, (as we told you he would) As for Henry, The king quote is the only time that the truth has past his lips, he will soon be back to his nomal going down in the box self!!!

Ledley should have gone to the world cup and is in the top three of English defenders. Great as a holding midfielder too!
