Cheap Matchday Beer

After the initial shock of paying over the top prices for food & drink at Ashburton Grove, the board and a couple of breweries have got their heads together and come up with a very pleasing offer.

Stated on Arsenal.com, pints of Fosters & John Smiths will be sold at a pretty tasty introductory price of £2.50 per pint.

Now neither of those are my favorite tipple, but at £2.50 per pint it's cheaper than most near by pubs. The club are also offering this promotion AFTER the game in a bid to clamp down on crowd congestion outside the ground.

Hurrah for beer!!!!

I'm still sticking to the tavern (see you tomorrow boys). The club get enough of my money, how nice of them to sell us beverages at rrp, and then they make out it's a brilliant offer. Still, I echo Rocky7's sentiments. Make mine a guiness.

Most stadiums sell beer at ridiculous prices because they know fans will pay it. Now if they'd have been selling Stella at 2.50 a pint I'd be knocking on the door at 12 o'clock.

I suppose it will help to drown your sorrows. ;)

spurs fans are like a bad smell, they get everywhere...£2.50, cant knock that but I think I'll try the Drayton Arms pre-match

Careful bigyid, that lager might upset your bowels.

I'll still go to The Highbury Barn, great pub- if you can get in! Or threashers. :D

suppose it isnt bad considering they've got a captive audience but nothing too special considering i was drinking £2.40 pints thursday night

If the results continue like today they'll certainly sell enough of it afterwards!

I think your players partook before the match..poor show.

If it's any consolation, Sol had a great game for us today & Kanu didn't do bad either. Shame on you for not stuffing Villa.

Don't drink Fosters, people! It's rubbish beer that we aussies don't drink, made purely for export and sold as 'australia's finest'. There are some great small breweries in aust, but avoid fosters, VB, Carlton (draught, crown etc), XXXX, Tooheys, etc etc. I haven't heard of John Smiths, but I'd choose that ahead of Fosters in protest if nothing else. Does Arsenal have a beer sponsor? Perhaps we should get one. I imagine Carlsburg would be sold at Anfield.
