Arsenal's Champions League Draw

Arsenal's Champions League Draw

Arsenal have been given a draw that most would consider straight forward however there are potential banana skin's in this years competition.

The age old saying goes that there are no easy games in football, and while our games in this years group stages of the UEFA Champions League are not the most dangerous teams we have ever faced, there will still be some tricky ties.

I fully expect Arsenal to win all their home games, however trips to Moscow, Porto and Hamburg will all have hazzards of their own. I mean who fancies going to Moscow in the middle of winter?

By far the worst team we could have drawn in the group was a Hamburg side that are firmly on the up and have made some significant signings this summer. There were far more fanciable teams in that fourth pot.

So to sum up, the Gunners are expected to progress but I wouldn't expect them to win every game.

I think apart from the group of death (A), its one of the hardest groups we could have got. CSKA are 17 games into their season & top their league, Hamburg have players like vincent kompany & van der vaart with the spuds reject atouba chucked in. Porto appear the weak link in the group.

Yeah Hamburg have van der Vaart, de Jong and Kompany, they'll be dangerous. But I'm looking forward to going to Hamburg and Porto, it's nice to get new teams. Not sure I can afford Moscow as well though.

after the chelsea group ours is probably the hardest all round group. OK no really hard single team but any of them teams can win on the day quite easily. some tricky away games there so the home games become so important. Man U and Liverpool have got easier draws.

Also dont forget after every cl's match we are away in the premiership so our season gets even harder, where as chelski may have a hard group but every premiership match afterwards is at home (except maybe one).

I am angry that Milan, having cheated their way back into the competition through a dodgy trial, have been drawn in by far the easiest group.I feel that it is now very likely that Milan could win the tournament. It is the way that football turns.

Pluto was just downgraded to a dwarf planet. In related news, Arsenal was downgraded to a dwarf soccer team.
