Senderos Targets Come Back Date

Phileppe Senderos has been out of action since injuring his shoulder at the World Cup and has now set his sights on a comeback.

The Gunners have been somewhat lightweight at the back with the injuries of 'Ralph' Lauren, Gael Clichy and Senderos himself, also the departure of Sol Campbell and the omission of Ashley Cole has meant that we have been very thin on the ground.

However Swiss Tony is making good ground and he hopes to be back in an Arsenal shirt very soon.

"I am about four weeks away from coming back and training with the team, then it will be a few weeks before I can fight for my place again." Claimed Senderos.

Big Phil has made great progress over the last two seasons after a good run in the 04/05 campaign Senderos even kept out a fit Sol Campbell of the FA Cup final and was unlucky not to gain a starting place in the Champions League final this year.

Senderos leads the back line well and his return can only be good for the club.

With Johan Djourou in such good form, I'd actually forgotten about this a bit. But no doubt Swiss Tony will be welcomed back, our squad is a little thin just now and we need every player fit.
