Beauty For The Beast?

Reports coming out of Spain this evening suggest that a deal has almost been sealed for 'pretty boy' Jose Reyes moving to Real Madrid with Julio Baptista coming the other way.

No official word has appeared as yet, but after Reyes' self prostitution this summer I wouldn't rule it out.

Real's mouth piece 'Marca', are running the story in tomorrows edition that Reyes will move to Madrid while Arsenal will receive Baptista and 3 million quid.

More news as it happens.

well thats great news but wat bout tevez. maybe he's off to the chavs. hopefully we still go for mascherano though. i really believe we should sign mascherano and tevez, but i suppose baps wouldn't be that bad. i swear reyes wanted to go atletico though to team up wiv his best pal torres. seems he still can't make up his mind. silly reyes..

hmm, if this is so... what happened to the alleged 'exclusivity deal' reyes is supposed to have signed with atletico, which if he breaks, will reputedly cost him £3m??? I still doubt this whole tevez affair, though hope there is more truth to the mascherano reports (of course tevez would be cracking too, but really cannot see it happening...). And let's not forget we have two of the best yougn strikers in the whole of europe ready to fire for the frst team next year in bendtner and lupoli - bendtner - 3 games, 2 goals, 2 assists, plus 1 full Int appearance and 1 goal; lupoli 1 start, 2 goals... »»Arsene Knows««

na y would reyes leave his pal hangin? he's goin to atletico, straight cash and we'll sign the corinthians duo, end of story...

The Times has also reported this loan swap deal between the beast and reyes going opposite directions. They have also reported about the possible deal for Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez going through as well.
HK_Gunner
the times may have reported it, but it is worth noting that this tevez PLUS mascherano deal was first posted as a wind-up on arsenam-mania yesterday, and it should be noted how many lazy journalists read independent stories with no foundation or fact, lift them directly from independent websites and blogs, and then use them as SOLE basis for a' exclusive transfer scoop'. Don't hold your breathe. It's just slack journalism. One man's wind-up > posted on website > journo hack reads it > appears in national tabloid the very next day > journo gets paid, does no work whatsoever. »»Arsene Knows««

Wingston - Well this deal may never come about, the hoax on Arsenal Mania was made with a bit of truth involved. he pair did indeed travel to Europe for talks about their future, and the agent did also say it is likely that the pair could play in England, the geezer just made a fasle statement regarding the medicals that were supposed to take place.
Rocky7
Mascherano and Tevez have gone to West Ham on loan. I read in 'high times' that Arsenal are gonna sign an Afghan player called 'Hascische'. Apparently he's really solid.
Little Dutch
I've heard of that hascische Apparently he played out of his skins last season. Maybe its just a pipe dream and it will all go up in smoke.

I reckon we should give Jose a game on the bigger pitch ... too late now i guess ... Baps is good but i still would rather have Robinho ... But Baps is more physical, something we need.

ah... 1 for 1 exchange. no difference in quality. In fact, I think Reyes will be a better option.
