Arsenal To Sign Reo-Coker?

What the hell, why not join in with the dodgy transfer rumours for one day?!?

I'm not usually one for publishing crap like this, but seen as it's transfer deadline day I thought I'd join in the fun.

West Ham fan site, 'Knee's Up Mother Brown' are reporting that Arsenal have lodged a 15 million quid last gasp bid for the gritty midfielder.

The rumour could have some truth with the Hammers unbelievably scopped Javier Mascherano this morning.

One chap ridiculously suggests he has a friend that works for Arsenal and he says Reo-Coker is at Arsenal completing the deal as we speak.

The rumour is most likely to be nonsense, but if it turns out to be true, remember, you heard it here second!!!

Hope its true, more than likely as much substance to it as a Spuds title challenge.

Lol. I'd actually love this signing, it'd make up for whats happened over the last 24 hours. Young, raw, talented, so much potential, strong, powerful. But as you say, not very likely!
Rocky7
this won't happen, it's effing silly season. I heard Wenger's got the queen mum scouting uzbekistan, expect an imminent signing. in other moves, wenger is set to unveil duncan edwards, after having his dna cloned in the labs underneath the grove. Fellow gooners, there ain't gonna be much for you to read about our club's moving and shaking in the 2--6 summer transfer window in tomorrow's papers... »»Arsene Knows««

I also heard that he is at Old Trafford undergoing a medical as we speak. Unless he is Road Runner incarnate, somebody is lying.
hatespur
Well he is pretty quick :P
Rocky7
Not that quick Rocky. I think it more likely that we'll end up with this Chinese kid and lose Cole and Reyes. Maybe we'll get Baptista as part of the Cole deal, but whenever I 've seen him he has looked a right lardarse.
hatespur
Sorry I meant the Reyes deal!!
hatespur
It would be a great deal if it came off. I can't see it though! Pardew wouldn't allow it. I can only see the Japanese youngster and Baptista deals going through in time. Is it just me or did I hear Wenger say he was after a centre back and maybe a left back? But on the final day of the window he is supposedly after a forward and a centre midfielder!!!! Unless of course the never-ending Gallas/Cole shenanigans can come off! Only Arsene knows!
codchops
I hear Greaseball Kenyon is still trying to seal the Cole deal. Maybe (clutching at straws here) just maybe, we might get Gallas also.
Rocky7
And how ggod would that be? Gallas is absolute quality! I think Mourinho/Kenyan will do everything in their power to ensure we don't get Gallas though.
codchops
i think the chavs are finally coughing up the asking price for Cole but I am still sceptical that Gallas will come the other way. chelsea want their cake and eat it, they have the money so are in charge here. But £15m for Reo-coker?!! what a rip off. worth about £9-10m MAX.
gazzap
you've got enough quality players, right? you dont need him, well it is a rumor, but good luck for the rest of the season, you should pick up the results from now.
wallis
chelsea fined 40K and warned over their future conduct because they used ther own 'independent' drug testers... broken the rules again. I'm looking for anythign to take my mind off our sole acquisition being an 18yr old japanese kid. »»Arsene Knows««

I hear that Chelsea are holding back on releasing Huth due to Arsenal insisting on Gallas being part of the Cole deal. I also heard that Reo Coker will be unveiled at 1600hr at The Emirates. I don't believe either for your guide.
hatespur
Rest assured, Cole will ONLY be going to Chelski if Gallas comes to us. DD and AW (nor I) would have it any other way.
Little Dutch
Any unvailing would be done at the training ground wouln't it as thats where the medicals are done?
Rocky7
Not always. He could have had a medical yesterday or first thing this morning.
hatespur
Fair point!!
Rocky7
Amazing stuffs at the 11th hour!
