Senderos To Resume Training

Senderos To Resume Training

After suffering a shoulder injury in the World cup, Phileppe Senderos is almost ready to get his boots back on.

'My shoulder feels better and I'm seeing the specialist this week,' he said

'I expect to get the green light to resume training next week. It has been a test of my mental strength but I will come back stronger than ever.

After the adition of William Gallas & the emergance of Johan Djourou, Senderos knows he's got a fight on his hands.

'Now it's down to me to win my place back in the Arsenal defence.'

Nice to have options isn't it? Four class central defenders, even Chelscum can't boast that.

So who do guys think will be our back four when we have everybody fit? I reckon it will be Eboue, Clichy, Toure and Gallas. It would be harsh to drop Eboue after his performances so far and Gallas wouldn't want to play at left back forever....

I think that would/should be our back line. What's also great about it is with Senderos, Djourou, Lauren all waiting in the shadows, the aforementioned backline will have to be on its toes. In the case of injuries/suspensions we have quality replacements. Chelscum are struggling just to put a back four out, they're playing a centre half at right back!

Great news for Arsenal. So much quality at the back..it's quite frightening!

I think that Eboue and Clichy are certainties, and I'd like to see Gallas, Toure and Senderos sharing the two central positions on some sort of rotational basis, to keep them fresh instead of waiting for injuries. Looking forward to Lauren's return too...
