'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wayne Rooney: Idiot Or Liar?

After the blatant cheating of Didier Zokora at White Hart Lane on Sunday, Wayne Rooney has decided to take the moral high ground and speak out against the cancer of football, diving.

Rooney, England's most popular, honest and trustworthy footballer, is a player who would never, ever consider such practises and should be comended for his attitude towards the game.

Oh......Wait a minute.

I didn't realise we were talking about THE Wayne Rooney. The Wayne Rooney who so dramatically threw himself to the floor without no contact from Sol Campbell what so ever to end Arsenal's unbeaten run.

Hysterically, Rooney said,

'I'd never dive. I'd like to think of myself as an honest player, that's the way I play. I don't like diving, football doesn't need it.'

Let's have a look at some evidence. I won't subject Gooners to the horricfic scenes from Old Trafford, but just have a look at this video and tell me if Rooney's 'I'd never dive' comment is jusifiable.

I know that Arsenal has been guilty of some outrageous dives in the past, but I don't condone it, in fact I speak out against, but if there is one thing I can't abide then it's hypocrites.

So to answer my initial questions, 'Wayne Rooney: Idiot or Liar?'

I'd have to say both.

Hmmmm, a little from column A a little from column B. Oh and you can add a column C, because he's a complete thug too. Oh no, that's right, it's Ronaldo's fault that Rooney stamped on someone's b*llocks.
Little Dutch
Answer, BOTH!!!
hatespur
What a little *****e. Terrible, terrible role model to kids watching, complete thug, ***** poor excuse of a person off the field, ***** poor form on it, and a hypocrite to boot. My gosh, I prefer the thought of Tottenham to him. Even with Zokoka.
Jammathon
Idiot! You cant say its not good when he does it him self although on the first one he gets clipped slightly.
jono_forest
He may get clipped slightly but there is no reason to go down like a fat dog on a wet lino. Monica Lewinsky stayed up for longer than that dumb scouse hibred.
hatespur
Lmao @ "go down like a fat dog on a wet lino" Good stuff.
Rocky7
question is, if he dived against chelski and won them a penalty and manure beat chelski, would we be delirious or would we be like, thats not fair, and then s******* behind our hands so no one sees ?
PUREGOLD
Now that depends PUREGOLD on who we are closer to at the time. Let's all be honest and admit that if Pompey got that penalty at Three Point Lane we'd have all shat ourselves laughing.
hatespur
well yes you'd be thankful if spuds or manure were on the receiving end of it but you'd still think of that player as a cheat from that moment on. Whether zakora played for spuds or anyone else I'd still have the same opinion of him.
gazzap
aye thats true gazzap, i think chelski are the main threat, i don't see manure doing much, but on their day they can upset the apple cart !
PUREGOLD
Oy PUREGOLD, you like the Mancs more than the Chavs? After the spuds its Maunre for me then the Chavs.

I'd like to know if diving emanates from the manager. Certainly in the worldcup it seemed as if certain teams had diving in their gameplans ahead of shooting. As for Rooney, he often seems to keep his feet and ride rough challenges which is great, but the footage speaks for itself. Surely keeping your balance and getting a shot in is a much better chance of scoring than playing for a penalty.
JakeB
What a little pr*ck. I hope someone shows him that AND the dive at OT against us.
simmy8_2000
Inbread little pikie. I couldn't decide so I will settle on that he is a lying IDIOT!!!!!!!!!
nnn
Every club including ours has divers, but atleast they (mostly) don't have the gall to blatently come out and deny all knowledge of everything and anything......unless they are basically simpletons who havent a clue what they are talking about, like Rooney! What a complete spanner!
LondonGooner
baltant proof there and then he lies and say i never diveeee wah a little d*** ive never liked him, never always reminded me of a stupid PIKEY and thanks for reminding us simmy wen he dived wen sol put he leg out didnt touch the pikey and he jus dropped to the floor got the penalty and couldnt evn look at his fellow england coliegue stupid pri*k

A valuable contribution, well done. Wow, *****e Hart Lane plays host to some intellectual powerhouses doesn't it? You probably forgot because your crack habit destroys so many brain cells?
Little Dutch
Will try to improve next time littledutch, must pop down the libary. What times your next game?
ginaza
Oh give me a break! Talent he has, brains he is devoid. Therefore me thinks he's not fit to post comment.....think July 1st for one, let alone the blatant 'fall'@ TTofNightmares!!

The chap needs a bit of "growing up" to do. That is necessary to help him put his feet leveled on the ground. The media appears to have gotten the better of him by inflating his ego to unjustifiable heights.
SWPACIFIC
Im Soooo glad that you've exposed him as the cheating bas tart he is we would probably still be unbeaten if it wernt 4 him :)
StryfedaGunner
so blatent i aint even going to act sarcastic lol
abdleb
