'We Do Not Depend On Decisions'

'We Do Not Depend On Decisions'

Even though it was plainly obvious that Thierry Henry's goal should have stood last night, and Mr Wenger afforded himself a bit of a moan about it after the game (and quite rightly so) Le Boss maintains we should not depend on decisions that may or may not go our way.

Not for the first time, I agree with our fearless leader.

Ok so we had a perfectly good goal ruled out, we are not the first club to have this and nor will we be the last. Yes it is very frustrating and the point that it would have given us would have seen the Gunners in pole position to qualify top of the group.

But these are the games we need to be imposing ourselves and need to be winning. We shouldn't be in a position where the referee can make such a massive mistake and cost us points in the first place.

But we were outplayed.

Wenger gives his take on the matter.

'We do not depend on decisions, we depend on our own quality of play. Until they went 1-0 ahead, Moscow were sharper than us, winning more fights than us and finally got the advantage they deserved at that point of the game. We tried to attack after that, and they defended in an intelligent way. They got a bit of luck with the kind of goal which was cancelled, but overall they have shown great quality'

Fortunately for us, our destiny is still in our own hands. We win our remaining games and we'll go through top of the group.

We will definately go through.

Of this I am sure.

we will go through but would you rather play AC Milan or PSV next for example? sure you have to beat the best but i'd rather do it in the quarters or later than in the first knock out round.

we will go through, its a league and rule of thumb was, win all your home games and draw a game here and there and you are through, its all you have to do.

We are better off playing PSV than AC Milan. Milan always reach 1/2 finale and they have the experience to beat us.

I must watch a different game to everyone else because I dont see where we were outplayed. At the end of the first half (our worst half for quite some time) we had just under 60% possession so hardly outplayed. All the chances they got were from poor passes by arsenal players in dangerous areas, they themselves created nothing. In the second half we improved no end, especially once adebayor & clichy came on & it was CSKA hanging on with the help of a referee who gave them decisions all night. If we finish top we could easily end up playing madrid again as Lyon will win that group.

it was frustrating, not because of the way we played or the state of the pitch,or the temperature,or their tactics,or how many chances they created or we missed, but the fact that even though they scored we were still in the game, and we hung in right till the end where we snatched a good equalizer.a good hard fought and deserved point against the odds, taken away by one person.theres no justice, just us.....but i love the injustice coz we will come back stronger, and stick it where it hurts.
