Cesc Signs Massive New Contract

Cesc Signs Massive New Contract

Yesterday was a momentus occasion in football, no not because Chelsea beat Barcelona, but because Cesc Fabregas signed a new massive deal that will keep at Arsenal for yonks.

Fabregas new deal will see him stay at the Grove until at least 2014 in what seems to be one of the longest contracts ever signed (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Cesc's agent, Joseba Diaz revealed the good news.

'It is a fabulous contract for the player and also for the club,' Diaz told Sport.

'This is the word [fabulous] that best defines this contract.'

'Cesc feels very happy with how much Arsenal value him and in the knowledge that Arsenal are going to build their future around him.'

Speculation mounted in the summer that Fabregas had agreed a deal that we see him move to Real Madrid, but only very stupid people (members of Vital Spurs?) honestly believed it would come about.

I foresee a long and and trophy ridden career at Arsenal and the ideal replacement for Thierry Henry as captain.

Good on you Cesc, Arsenal legend!

Where did this info about the contract come from?? Arsenal havent announced anything so far & I am sure they would have done if it had happened especially as it would be such big news.

As any football club knows, there will always be good times and bad times (except if you support Chelski or Spurs, then there's lots and lots of bad times to remember!) If players wanna leave then fine, but with that length of contract we'll be quids in IF he decides to leave. Good display of commitment from Fabregas AND Arsenal. Wonder how much his agent got for negotiating that deal?

"I am so happy here and I am delighted to have signed this new contract that will keep me at the Club for years to come," he said. "I wanted to pay back the Club, especially Arsène Wenger for the support and faith he has shown in me. "What is important now is for the team to realise its potential and win trophies. That is our main aim, that is my aim as well." Class players stick around a long time and stay loyal when they are treated well...something other clubs can't seem to figure out. Henry and Cesc would have left for sure if it wasn't for Wenger - his players respond well to him, and recognize his brilliance. Good to see Fabregas show heaps of class and loyalty in signing such a long term deal.

What a player!!!! He will become one of the best midfielders in the world at ARSENAL. Everyone uses the phrase "new Vieira" when talking of a top quality def midfielder. Soon you will hear the phrase "new Fabregas" when talking of a top quality attacking midfielder. You heard it hear first!!!
