Fabregas Repay's Wenger's Faith

Cesc Fabregas has spoken with delight about his new contract, claiming he wanted to repay Mr Wenger for the faith he has shown in the player.

Shortly after signing the massive 8 year deal, Fabregas spoke to the Official Arsenal Website.

'I am so happy here and I am delighted to have signed this new contract that will keep me at the Club for years to come,' he said.

'I wanted to pay back the Club, especially Arsène Wenger for the support and faith he has shown in me.

'What is important now is for the team to realise its potential and win trophies. That is our main aim, that is my aim as well.'

Make no bones about it Cesc, we're just as happy as you.

superb news about cesc - the lad seems to have arsenal in his heart and his head more than some players that you could mention. For all the xenophobic accusations thrown at arsenal and our multinational squad, these young foreign players that M. Wenger has been bringing through seem to be fully part of the arsenal ethos, and unflashy, willing to work and wait for their spot, more so than the pennants & bentleys of the world. »»Arsene Knows««

Don't you think they might have a compensation package in mind when Real Madrid or Barca come knocking in the summer?!
