Arsenal Star Out Till The New Year

After an already lengthy lay off, Arsenal right back Lauren will not be back until at least 2007.

Arsene Wenger revealed the details in a pre match press conference.

"I don`t think you will see Lauren in the team before January," said Arsčne Wenger on Friday.

"He played up to the limit of his pain and then maybe he played a little too long. That created some damage in his knee which had to be repaired.

"But he is a tough, tough boy. He works hard and he will come back. He is making good progress but he still has four or five weeks before he comes back to normal training and then it will take a month`s full training to come back into the team."

With the injury of Eboue it would be good to see Ralph back, but I guess we will just have to wait.

poor bloke - it must be going on fora year that he's been out. I know that everyone says that eboue is the new number one right back, and there can be no doubt that he has made a phenomenal impact since coming into the team, but be under no illusions that he could still learn SO much from ralph, who is one of those players, like gilberto, who could never ever do enough in some people's eyes and was 'not good enough to play for arsenal\ because he did not dribble through 4 peopel when bombing forward. ralph has always been a dependable performer, a reliable penalty taker (who remembers the pen at white hart lane when we were going for the title a few years ago?), and a consumate professional.. Ralphie, it'll be good to have you back in the squad, fella. »»Arsene Knows««
