'If It's Football, It's Vital'

King Kolo Signs New Deal

In the past few months two of Arsenal's most important players have signed vital contract extensions, giving Arsene Wenger a world class core around which to build the next great team.

Thierry Henry & Cesc Fabregas are two of the three most important players for The Arsenal, with Kolo Toure being the third, and now Kolo has joined his freinds in making his stay in North London a very long one.

Arsenal.com have released a statement saying Toure has signed 'a new long term contract'. No details of the deal have been given out but I would hazzard a guess at a minimum of four years.

"I can see myself staying here [at Arsenal] for the rest of my career," said Toure. "Why would I want to leave. I love my football here, my family is settled here and the club is ambitious. It is fantastic."

Toure is one of the most under-rated defenders outside our fantastic club, and certainly amongst the top five in the world, having him, Cesc & Henry as the spine of our team will ensure long term success and the ability to lure some of the best players in the world to our club (not that we need anymore at the minute)

Long Live The King!

by the way, anyone know how long the contract is for? »»Arsene Knows««
Wingston75
the only thing we need now is for Le Boss to sign a new long term contract himself..
luckys_10
Wingston - I'm having a guess that its a very long one. They normally disclose that sort of thing.
Rocky7
I'm hoping so Rocky, I'd liek to wake up to disclosure of toure's 8 year-er to go alongside cesc's... »»Arsene Knows««

Definately a future captain in my eyes. King Kolo will be the rock in our defence for a long time yet!

The world's premier centre back, long live King Kolo!
Little Dutch
Yeah, Arsene Who should sign an new long term contract for an undisclosed fee!!
Great news about Toure. And I like the way other clubs under rate him; at least they won't be sniffing around! How long are Djourou's and Senderos's contracts? Those too should be lengthened. Hell, let everyone sign new 8 year deals!!!!
Gaga
kolo's is 4 years and Djouour's is for 6 years! Happy days!
LondonGooner
It's good for you that he has signed an extension, but what difference does the length of it make these days anyway? If a player wants to leave it just means the club may get a higher transfer fee. On the other hand if he goes down with a career ending injury the team has to continue to stump up!
Westl
Great news! You're greatly loved and admired by fans from the world over.
SWPACIFIC
Yes, eight year contracts for all! Rocky, get the forms out son, where do I sign?!
Little Dutch
It is good for Arsenal. But thats a bit pessemistic Westl!!!!!
LondonGooner
Cygan's better
HATEtheGOONS
LG, I know it's pesimistic, it's just that it all seems to go the players' way these days!
Westl
Westl, I agree a lot of players like Ferdinand, Dyer's and the like, think nothing of the fans and clubs who support them. But there are a few players like Toure or Gary Speed who value the clubs and the support they recieve immensly, its just a shame there isn't more of them around!
LondonGooner
LD - What you fail to realise is that when you signed up for Vital Arsenal it was a contract for life, and I got your soul and the deeds to your house :)
Rocky7
Ooooh, that would explain the strange fellow with the black cloak and skeletal fingers. I thought Pete Doherty had got lost!
Little Dutch
LOL that was Peter Crouch in a Black Trench coat!
LondonGooner
You 2 should go on the stage...........and sweep it up!
